To save you the hassle, see included screengrab of the code that works! as a target i'm using the LOLIN(WEMOS) D1 r2 & mini for libraries: DHT and U8g2 changed pinout to suitable pins and it works a charm. SHowing temp and humidity on display as you'd like. Can develop further from here using the many ESP8266 libraries.

Lately few items ordered arrived in a lower protection packages - only a small plastic bag inside a bigger plastic bag with no bubble foil - and some delicate items like oled display I found broken.
